"Only What Is Done for Christ Will Last" – A Reminder for Business, Family, and Life

For many years, I had a simple yet powerful phrase displayed on the wall of my kitchen: "Only what is done for Christ will last." It was a quiet reminder, a daily nudge that no matter how busy or chaotic life got, my purpose was rooted in something far greater than the hustle and bustle of the world around me.
As time went on, I started my blog and began this business, there were times that my heart drifted and I forgot that saying. But just as the Good Lord always does, He brought me back to the truth. In fact, it's been on my heart even more lately. As my business grows and the demands of entrepreneurship increase, I find myself reflecting deeply on the truth of that phrase and how it applies to my current life.
When I first put that phrase on my kitchen wall, I didn’t yet know how profoundly it would shape the direction of my life. At the time, it was a reminder to keep Christ at the center of everything—my family, my work, and my interactions with others. But now, as I navigate this new chapter of business ownership, I’m realizing how important it is to make sure that this truth remains the foundation for everything I do.

Keeping Christ at the Center of My Business

In the fast-paced world of business, it's easy to get caught up in the numbers, the goals, and the deadlines. When you're chasing success, it's tempting to lose sight of your purpose. But every time I reflect on that phrase, I’m reminded of why I started this journey in the first place.
My business isn’t just about products or sales—it’s about serving others, creating something meaningful, and using this platform to glorify Christ in everything I do. Whether it’s the way I interact with customers, the way I serve my team, the values I uphold, or the way I run my business, I strive to make sure that Christ is at the heart of it all.
The success of my business isn’t defined by the size of my customer base, the revenue numbers or the profit margins. It's defined by how I serve others with the blessings I’ve been given and how I bring glory to God through my work. And that’s something that will last—something that has eternal value.

Keeping Christ at the Center of My Family

As much as my business grows, my family is my true priority. The saying "Only what is done for Christ will last" reminds me that my role as a mother, wife, and daughter is even more important as my role as a business owner. The time and love I pour into my family, the examples of faith I strive to be for them, the prayers I lift up for them, and the way I guide them in their own faith are things that will last far beyond anything this world can offer.
I want my children to grow up knowing that their worth is not in what they achieve, but in who they are in Christ. I want them to understand that serving God is the most important thing they can do with their lives. The only thing that is eternal.
Encouraging Others to Live for Christ
As my business grows and reaches more people, I want to share this message with you, my valued customers. I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your own life and ask yourself: Are you living with purpose? Is Christ the center of your decisions, your work, and your relationships?
The will of God is always to bring more people to Christ. This is the mission we are all called to. As we go about our daily lives, whether at home, at work, or in our communities, everything we do should be an opportunity to reflect on His love and the opportunities we have to share the Truth with others. The impact we have, the relationships we build, and the way we love others—because Jesus was the perfect example of these things - these are what will truly last.

A Final Thought

In this season of growth and change in my life, I’m reminded of how important it is to stay grounded in faith. "Only what is done for Christ will last" isn’t just a saying—it’s a call to action. It’s a reminder that no matter what success or challenges I face, my purpose is to glorify God and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ -  the only impact that will have eternal value.
I hope this resonates with you as much as it does with me. As you navigate your own journey, I encourage you to remember that a life lived for Christ is the only thing that matters in the end.
Let’s live with purpose, love with intention, and keep Christ at the center of everything we do.
If you resonate with this message, I would love for you to share your thoughts with me!
How can you ensure that Christ remains at the center of your life, family and work?
Let’s encourage each other in this journey of faith!
